Step by steps Preparation

  1. 1.Step

    Grinding
For the Bialetti, the traditional Italian espresso preparation, a medium-fine grind is used - finer than filter coffee, but coarser than classic espresso.

  2. 2.Step

    Fill with water
Fill the base with hot water to just below the valve. Use water from the kettle to save energy and speed up preparation. Be careful, the base gets hot

  3. 3.Step

Insert the sieve and pour in the coffee
Fill the sieve loosely with ground coffee and smooth it out. Screw the upper and lower parts firmly together and place the Bialetti on the stove. As soon as the coffee slowly rises to the top, remove the Bialetti from the heat immediately.

  4. 4.Step

    Heat the milk
Heat the milk in a milk jug to around 65 °C. If it gets hotter, the milk protein changes - this means that the milk can no longer be frothed to a creamy consistency. Use a thermometer.

  5. 5.Step

    Frothing the milk (French press)
Pour half of the heated milk into a French press. Pump vigorously up and down several times with the sieve plunger until it increases to a fine, creamy froth

  6. 6.Step

Pour the milk foam into the cup
Pour the frothed milk back into the milk jug and swirl briefly so that the foam remains even. Then pour over the coffee. You can hold the coffee pot at a slight angle.
